Message for Students
At FIU we are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all students to succeed. That includes all students of all backgrounds and abilities. Your experiences are valued and we are here to support. We know that different students and faculty have different needs, and we are committed to universal design that is needed for some and useful for all.
This website serves as a resource for students—as well as faculty and staff—to learn about and facilitate access to the services and support available to them.
Should you need an ADA accommodation to participate in a university event, program, or activity or need to request materials in an accessible format, please contact FIU’s Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Accessibility (CRCA) at 305-348-2785 or accommodations@fiu.edu.
All requests for ADA accommodation or accessible materials for this event must be submitted to CRCA at least seven (7) business days prior to the event or at the earliest possible opportunity.
Have a Concern?
If any student, employee or applicant has a good faith belief that they have been discriminated against or harassed based on age, color, disability, marital status, ethnic or national origin, race, religion, retaliation, sex or any other protected category, CRCA encourages them to report the incident.
Need Help Accessing your Course?
Students may submit a course content accessibility alert to the accessibility team regarding any Canvas course content that has accessibility concerns. The accessibility team will then notify the individual(s) who manage the course content to implement a timely solution.
